Be “Less White”

Let’s break this down piece by piece in a multi-part series, starting with the oppression theory.
Be Less Oppressive

Oppressive – adjective
Definition of oppressive:
1: unreasonably burdensome or severe
oppressive legislation

an oppressive climate
By every definition, the term “oppressive” does not appear to be a “too white” issue, but rather is indicative of the actions of our own government, corporations and financial institutions, which are composed of people of all races, skin colors and religions. The same people trying to push this fake “too white” narrative are in fact the ones guilty of creating the oppression. How many of you reading this work harder and harder year by year, yet fail to get ahead financially? No matter how high the annual raise, it never makes a difference, because the raise is not equal to the regular rise in living costs. Just when you think that $1.00 an hour raise is going to help you to finally start saving to buy a home, your rent increases, usually in an amount that roughly equals the extra provided by the raise. What the higher rent doesn’t take from you, the rise in food, insurance, gas and utilities costs does. This is not an issue that affects only people of color. It affects ALL working class families. It does not discriminate nor oppress based on skin color. In order for the term “oppressive” to apply as a “too white” problem, we would need to see evidence that all people of color are being prevented from succeeding in the United States. Instead, let me offer evidence to the contrary.
Oprah Winfrey, an American woman of African descent, born in Mississippi in 1954 to an unwed teenaged mother who worked as a housemaid. There is debate on which of at least two men fathered her. For the first six years of her life Winfrey lived with her maternal grandmother. It is claimed that they were so poor that Winfrey often wore dresses made of potato sacks. By her teenaged years Oprah became a rebellious girl, often stealing money from her mother. She was sent to live with one of the men who may have been her father, Vernon Winfrey. Under his guidance she became an honor student and won a full scholarship to Tennessee State University, a historically black institution. During high school she also held down a part time job working in a grocery store. We all know how her story turned out. Through hard work, determination and parental encouragement to become educated, Oprah today is worth $2.8 billion. She accomplished all of this on the good old American values that at one time were so important to this country, before Liberals, Socialists and Communists began indoctrinating a sense of entitlement and tearing apart and replacing our traditional educational system with dangerous ideologies.
Robert Frederick Smith, an American man of African descent, was born in Denver, Colorado in 1962 to parents who were both school teachers. While in high school he attempted to apply for an internship at Bell Labs, but was turned away, not because he was black, but because this was a program intended for college students. However, he was determined, and for five months called every Monday. It paid off. When an M.I.T. student failed to show up for the internship it was offered to Robert. He did not disappoint when that summer he developed a reliability test for semiconductors. Smith went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University, where he also became a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha. From there he earned his Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. This is another perfect example of the importance of personal determination and having a parent or parents who pushed the value of education. Today, Smith is worth $2.5 billion.
I could go on with a more extensive list of all the Americans of color who have gone on to become successful and wealthy through hard work, determination, education and tenacity, but it would turn this article into a book. The point is this… if the narrative of “white oppression” were really true, Winfrey and Smith, as well as many other people of color in the United States, would not be as wealthy or successful as they are. I don’t care what color your skin is. If you have not managed to be as financially stable or highly educated as you wish, I propose that you have oppressed yourself, with the help of the Elite who encourage you to do so.
White people also continue to be blamed for the oppression caused by slavery, an institution that ended in the United States one hundred and fifty-six years ago. Yep, you read that correctly, ended 156 YEARS ago. Yet here we are, in 2021, still blaming all white people for the actions of only a relatively few slave owners when you break down the population of that time. If you base this percentage on the entire population of the United States in 1860 only 1.4% owned slaves. If you combine based on slave owning families (instead of individuals) who shared the use of slaves, we come up with a number of roughly 7.4%. Does this excuse the ownership of slaves or the institution of slavery? No. However, it does bring into perspective this false belief that all white people are responsible for slavery that started centuries ago. Let’s also address the elephant in the room… free blacks who owned slaves. By 1830 at least 3,775 free blacks owned black slaves. This does not account for those who may have lived in areas where they were not enumerated due to being in areas unreachable by census takers. Another fact often ignored is that starting in the colonial American era, free blacks were allowed to own white Europeans as slaves. Also overlooked is the group of free blacks who lived in New Orleans, who, on the run up to the Civil War, offered to support the Confederacy in keeping non-free black people enslaved.
The attempt to excuse free blacks who owned enslaved blacks is unacceptable. The majority did not buy their own family members out of kindness, as has been claimed. Some of these free black men and women who owned black slaves were brutal. Oppression is oppression, no matter who did it, and free blacks who owned slaves should not receive a pass on this.
This was not a white versus black issue, it was an economic issue, with many free blacks in the South living off of (and becoming rich from) the labor of enslaved blacks. Some would like to blame all whites simply because they in some way benefitted from the products that were manufactured, grown or created with the use of slave labor. If we are going to go down that road it’s time to start demanding reparations from countries like the UK as well, who supported the cause of keeping slavery due to the cotton industry and trade with the United States. As a matter of fact, British businesses helped the Confederacy.
Two sides fought in the Civil War, aka the War Between the States. The Southern slave-holding states fought for the Confederacy, while the free states in the North fought for the Union. The Confederate army had between 750,000 and 1,250,000 individuals fighting to retain slavery. The Union armies had anywhere from 2,500,000 to 2,750,000 men fighting to end slavery. What this tells us is that the majority of white people in the United States were in favor of freeing slaves. THE MAJORITY! The Confederates totaled 258,000 casualties, while the Union suffered a loss of 360,222. More white people fought and died to end slavery than to protect it.
Allow me to take this opportunity to point out the hypocrisy here. Every single one of us here in the USA has purchased something that is manufactured through the use of slave or child labor in Third World countries, from cell phones and clothing to millions of other products. Is it something we want to do? No. Unfortunately, many of the items we rely upon for our daily lives are produced in less than humane circumstances, and we have few to no options to go elsewhere. It was the same in the United States before the outbreak of the Civil War. At that time many white Americans stepped forward and put their lives on the line to end slavery, even if it meant they would have to sacrifice necessities as well as luxuries. How many today are willing to do the same in order to end slavery and OPPRESSION in the countries where many of our goods come from? Did you know that right now 45.8 million people are enslaved around the world? Are you aware that some of our largest, richest corporations are guilty of using slave and child labor for their own greedy, personal gain? The top 5 are Nestle, Starbucks, Nike, H&M and Walmart. Who, or what, is really oppressing Americans of color, as well as white Americans? The answer is right there at the beginning of this article, under the definition of oppression…

“an oppressive climate”
All of the above are a product of the Democratic Party, RINOS and greedy corporations. This isn’t about white people oppressing people of color. It’s about the greedy and power hungry Elites, represented by all colors, who believe they have the right to own all of us, and will do everything in their power to divide us with false narratives. These are the same Elites who cause you to oppress yourself through indoctrination, with the false belief that your lack of success in life is the fault of white Americans.
I have a question for Coca-Cola. Should their founder, Dr. John Pemberton, the son of a man who owned eleven slaves, have been “less white?” The same Dr. John Pemberton who, during the Civil War, served with distinction as a lieutenant colonel in the Confederate 3rd Georgia Cavalry Battalion?
